I have seen on many blogs and heard in many conversations, all about the book Twilight. I am NOT an avid novel reader, mostly because when I read, I am swept away into another world -- my children (and the world around me) become invisible to me. I can do scriptures, doctrine, non-fantasy stuff -- no problem. But take me to a fantasy world, and there I am -- reality disappears.
My parents came to visit for the holidays, and along with my mother, came the book (Thanks Katie-Lady). The day before Christmas, Charles happened to pick up the book, and he began reading. He was up all night, until he finished. The day after Christmas we went to see the movie. (A REAL date! Thanks mom and dad!) I enjoyed the movie, so I thought I would give the books a try. (I had extra people around to make sure reality was still taken care of.) ;-)
So far, I am really enjoying it! :-) I am still in the middle of the first book, with 3 more books to go! (We went to Borders and purchased all four.) Now, Charles and I must ration our evening time, so we can get a bit of reading in. :-)
I just thought these pictures were SO funny. I had my dad take them for us. We were really all 3 snuggled up together, entranced by another world. Every now and again we would pinch each other to make sure we were still there. ;-)

ReplyDeleteYou three crack me up! I love how you are all sitting there reading together! I really enjoyed those books, but I haven't seen the movie.
ReplyDeleteHow fun for you to have your Mom and Dad there at Christmas. We have enjoyed having all the kids together. I'll have a new post about it soon.
Yay, Twilight! I read them all this summer, right around the time the last one came out. Jeromy took me to see the movie just after Thanksgiving when his parents were here to watch the kids. We both want to see it again!
