All Done!

I am all finished with my most favorite task of breastfeeding. It is so GREAT! I am so happy to be done! Don't get me wrong, I love my children, and I will do what is best for them. When it comes to breastfeeding -- I do it out of pure duty. The amazing thing is, William has been sleeping now from 8pm-6am and not waking up! Before, when I was feeding him, he would wake up 2-3 times a night! I think he is finally getting enough to eat, so he can sleep! I am so excited and so GRATEFUL! It is funny, I am so use to waking up, I still do -- just to check on him. I was worried the first night he did not wake up, now I am thrilled! Hooray!

This also means I can be "me" again. I have been able to "take it up a notch" with my running. It is always easier to reclaim my body when it is my own and not a milk-machine. Surprisingly enough -- I still want 6 children! I will feed them too (of course). For now, I will enjoy the feeling of me, the whole me, and nothing but me!!! Hooray for being whole!! (At least for now!) ;-)

Lots of love!

Mari

  1. I remember that feeling of having my body back! It's so good to be able to take it to the limits and get it in shape without worrying about starving the baby!!

When I stopped nuring Levi, he slept through the night for the first time and I remember that it made me feel sad because I realized that he must not have been getting enough to eat. Poor little thing! I think he is alright now, though!

    Lots of love!

  2. Wait! Is this Mari (Linquist)- I'm so sorry if i butchered your last name...I can't remember how to spell it! Holy cow, girl! You look great and your family is adorable!!! This is Katie Andersen (from Anchorage). It's great to see you and your fun stories. Do you mind if I add you to my friends list?

Oh yeah, I totally understand about nursing. I actually never wanted to do it, but knew it was healthier. So as soon as I was finished, I jumped for joy about every 3 hours or so-hahaha!

  3. I know, isn't crazy to see everyone all grown up-hahah! My parents live out in Spokane valley (that's where we moved after Anchorage) 1998-now. They live in Liberty Lake, so it feels like home whenever I visit. I read some of your older posts from when you guys lived there. I had no idea you were there- I love Spokane too.

Where in Idaho do you live now? We are in Rexburg.
