In an effort to be more consistent at blogging, I started to look over some old picture files, and found some things I never posted. I recorded this video months ago, when I was trying to figure out chord-playing and singing at the same time. It is a great song, but the performance is hopelessly flawed. :-) If only I had all the special giggety-gasmos they use in recording studios! Oh well, this is nice and raw. :-) (If it looks like I am in pain, it is because it hurts to wrap my brain around so many things at once! Notes, words, singing, playing -- Ouch!) :-)

Baby van Ormer number 4 (And likely final van Ormer child -- more on THAT later.) Coming MAY 2012!
All I have to say after watching (and really, listening) to that is WOW!! Mari! I forgot what an amazing singer you are. I think your even better now. Did you write that song? Very impressed.:)
ReplyDeleteActually, the song is one of Faith Hill's (written by a Mother who wrote music for her children.) :-) I really like the song, my children adore Peter Pan and Tinkerbell -- so they LOVE the song! Like cheese, some things get better with age. ;-) wink!
ReplyDeleteWow! I always thought you were an amazing singer when I was little, and now I stand to it even more. Just beautiful Mari!
ReplyDeleteMy computer blocked the video when I first looked at it. I just now got a chance to listen to it. I think you did a lovely job. Your voice is pleasant to listen to, I'm sure your children enjoy hearing your singing. Your song reminds of of our girls singing around the piano.
ReplyDeleteBy the way there is a free software program called Audacity which allows you to edit sound files. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
