Each year I post our Thanksgivings gone by. When I look at the pictures, they each mean so much to me! We have a tradition of getting a real tree a few days before Thanksgiving. We LOVE real trees, they are so beautiful! I love the way they smell. Finding the right tree is one of the joys of the season. One year our tree was SO huge it took over the whole living room -- but it was awesome!
This was our first Thanksgiving in Spokane, Washington. It was out first year in Law school, and before we had been informed about the joys of food stamps! We were so poor, we had a small chicken, egg rolls and ice cream as our feast! It was quite fitting in our 500 sqft home! What a sweet silly time! See the paper turkey on the fridge? That was all the decorating that occured that year!

This was the next year of Law school in Spokane. We had found a much more spacious apartment, and food stamps! Things were looking up! I LOVED that apartment. After living in 500 sqft with 2 children, anything more was (and is) Heaven!

Year 3 of Law school. Notice the giganto tree in the background! Food stamps were good that year!

Our first year of real employment, and our new city. It was a lovely time! :-)

William with Mr. Santa. He comes to the ward party every year!

Our tree from last year

Above is the tree that took over our living room. It was my very favorite tree. We were going to take it back, but I thought I would put some lights on to see how it might look. As I put the lights on the tree, it spoke to me and said, "you know you love me!" The tree was right, I DID love it! It was so huge, but SO beautiful! The best tree we have ever had!
