My Hero!

This girl right here -- she is my inspiration! Melinda is a mother of three young children and she has run three marathons!! That is so amazingly awesome to me! The longest I have run has been 13.5 miles -- a marathon is double that! I will now think of her when I am out there turkey trotting daily. I love "Strong Moms" and she is definitely STRONG!
If you want to know what Melinda is like, watch Enchanted. She acts and looks like Giselle. She is a happy, bubbly, everything is lovely, kind of person (I think she inherited that from her mother.) Every time I see the movie I think of her and her happy energy. :-)

I have always loved her and her family. She is one of 10 children! What an amazing family! Melinda and I played together as young children when my parents and her parents were neighbors in Arizona. We moved away from Arizona to Alaska when I was 4. Since that time I have only seen Melinda a handful of times -- when we would visit Arizona, or she would visit Alaska. But I consider her one of my closest friends. The bond formed in our young years carried over into adulthood, and I admire, respect, and love her so much!

Sammi and Julia

Sammi has a friend like that too. Her name is Julia. They were best friends in Spokane, and they would call each other twins, because they had so much in common. :-) Sammi just LOVES Julia, and when we moved to Idaho, and her family moved to Colorado -- I thought we may never see Julia (or her family) again. Well, as luck has it, Charles has a conference coming up in Colorado, and guess who we get to go see?? Julia!! What is really nice is I love Julia's mom too! Sammi is SO excited, she can hardly stand it! They are such sweet girls, and sweet friends. I can imagine, years from now, they will have a special love for each other, just like I have for Melinda. :-)
