Ouch!

Here are some pictures of poor Dan. He was running in the hallway and smack! He ran right into the door corner - Ouchy! I was going to the bathroom and I heard horrid crying. So out I ran to see what happened and Daniel was face first on the floor wimpering. He then told me he wanted to go and puke. I took him to the bathroom and convinced him not to throw-up by rubbing his back and telling him he did not need to throw-up. He calmed down and then I took him to my bed and sat with him with ice on his poor head. He had a lovely goose egg. I kept him awake, though he wanted to go to sleep. I iced it most of the evening. Anyhow, after much love and care he recovered and was ready to run again a few hours later. Poor Dan!

Dan also has an ingrown toenail. Apparently, his shoes have been rubbing his toe, his feet have grown and so new shoes are needed. Anyhow, his toe was infected and Charles had to get some of the puss out of it by squeezing it out. Anyhow, this was after Dan bonked his head. So I was holding him down while Charles was oozing puss from his poor toe. Anyone who has ever had an ingrown toenail can appreciate the severe pain it causes, myself included - OUCHY! Poor kid. Once we got the puss out it seemed to really help his pain in his toe. The picture above is of Dan soaking his toe with his large wound on his head. It was not Dan's day. Poor thing. He prayed last night for his head and foot and as he did he cried. I love Dan so much. A few hours after his bonk he wanted to run again and he said, "See mom, I won't quit! I am not a quitter!" and he ran and ran. I love my Daniel boy. I do not love it when children are in pain. Now I know what is meant when parents say, "This hurts me more than it hurts you". What pain!

Sammi's pictures are of her hair today. It is crazy hair day at school. We put it up in four ponies and then I teased it into a big poof. I will make it even bigger right before school and then add the hair spray. It is pretty crazy! She loves it though. I sure hope other kids participate too or she will feel pretty silly!! : )

Lots of love to all!

Love, Me

  1. Poor Danny. Oh my. That will probably leave a nice scar on his head to attract the ladies. ;) And nice hair Sam. What a fun day at school.

Mari that is great that you found the old car seat and can get them to fit in your car. I admire your enthusiasm about getting all three ready. Many moms wouldn't be so positive. :)

    I love you all.

  3. Dear Daniel,
I'm glad you remembered to pray that you would feel better. Remember that primary song...Heavenly Father, are you really there? Do you hear and answer every child's prayer? And, then the second verse tells you to: "pray, He is there, speak He is listening, you are His child..."
Yes, Daniel, you are Heavenly Father's boy! Always remember that and you will feel safe.
    I love you buddy!

    Sammi,
Crazyyyyyyyyyy hair! Oh boy, I've got joy! Did you have the biggest head of hair at school? How fun for you. Do you still like Mr. Trimble? Are you getting green cards every day? Green means GO! You are choosing the right! RED means STOP, you are choosing the wrong! Is that right Sammi?
    Keep smiling!
I love you. Bye bye see ya
