The school year is over and it is time to PLAY!
The kids had another great year, and I am so happy with their hard work and determination to do good. I am especially happy with their desire to read. I was never a big reader (not novels, anyway, mostly Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley Twins -- yeah, I was a real brainiac!). But my children just LOVE a good book, especially fantasy novels, and that makes me thrilled! I really believe reading makes all the difference. They walked away with straight A's and Daniel was awarded the "Nerds Award" for his class. I've always wanted a nerd for a son. :-) This next year is going to be Sammi's last year in elementary school. She is now officially a 6th grader! And then . . . Junior High. YIKES! William will also join the school-crew, he starts kindergarten in the Fall! WOW!
Here are some images from the school year . . .
(Sammi has a bunch, her teacher took a lot during the year)

Sammi loves the stage
Lucky boy!
Sammi had a fun year of basketball. There was one game she made 4 baskets! (That's a lot for 5th grade b-ball.) She just kept stealing the ball from the other team -- it was awesome. She was ON FIRE! Can't wait til next year!
Here is my nerd award boy . . . Go DAN!
Daniel also loves the stage
Now it is time to PARTY!
(And read, of course.)
I love having my kids home for the Summer.
They are mine, ALL MINE!!
(I might share them with Grandma, too . . . if she is lucky.) :-)
Pretty please!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour dear Mother
cute kids Mari . Hard to believe Sammi will be in 6th grade. Tell Dan great job on being smart! It is all about reading. I totally agree.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why your kids like to be on stage. ; )
You will have to share your kids with Mom. For some reason she just loves being a Grandma (and she's darn good at it too. )
