Kary,

Sorry, I could not get the commentary with the pictures. It was actually downloading the pictures so I thought I would go for it! Here is some of the commentary, if you want to add a comment to explain the other pictures - that would be great! : )

commentary by Kary:

Monday night came and we were tired of packing. So, Ray said, "Let's have FHE and go to Dairy Queen!" We all loaded up and drove to the hottest or should I say, the coolest place in town. Yes, DQ opened a few weeks ago. Lines out the door seemed like a mile long. We only had to wait 5-10 minutes last night. The photos show what we enjoyed that evening. This blogs for you Dad.

  1. That's cruel and unusual punishment to show your old Dad pictures of the Dairy Queen, but nice to know that real civilization has returned to Anchorage. Mom noticed that Beth was eating a Peanut Buster Parfait in her honor.

And I missed getting to feed Stephen his first ice cream, but he shouldn't have to wait, so I'm glad he got his first taste.

    Love, Dad (and Mom)

  2. We took the trip to DQ to honor you Dad. Every creamy, chocolaty, smooth, crunchy bite we took was for you! (really, well sort of! )

Stephen did enjoy the taste of ice cream, just not the freezing cold sensation.

Stephen is also enjoying his English skills: "da, da, da, da" Loud and clear and sometimes so loud, we just smile and cuddle him. He truly does bring sunshine to our souls!

Keep sharing the LIGHT Mom and Dad!
    we love you much
    Kary
