Yesterday I got a phone call from Sammi's school. Charles answered the phone and the lady at the school told him that Sammi had been hit in the head with a rock at recess and she may need stiches. I could see from the look on Charles face that he was shocked and I wondered what was going on. Charles told me we needed to go and get Sammi from school because she had been hit in the head with a rock. I was of course thinking the worst had happen, expecting to see blood everywhere and a large gash in her head. I drove as fast as I could to the school and walked very quickly to the office. They sent me into the nurses office where Sammi was sitting quietly with an ice pack on her head. She has a pretty good cut on her head. The nurse told me I should take her in that she would most likely need stiches. So I quickly took her to the urgent care. The doctor there gave us an option of stiches or glue. He said since it is in her hair line glue should be just fine - you will not be able to see it. I choose glue since I could not see giving her stiches for a scar that would not even show. She was grateful. The whole time Sammi did not cry. I kept telling her she was a tough girl so she acted like one. What a brave girl she was - I was so proud of her. Anyhow, she is ok. I saw her showing all the kids at school before it started - so funny. I love Sammi, I was so worried for her but she is good.
We also just got back from Boise on Wednesday. We spent a few days there looking for a place to live. I think we have decided to rent for awhile and become more familiar with the area before trying to buy a home. It was a fun trip - especially after giving birth not too long ago. We stayed at the Best Western - which I was so pleased with. We had tons of fun staying there. The kids love to stay at motels. It was a fun trip. Stopping every two hours to feed William was fun. Lots of potty stops and food stops. Fun times.
I better go get Sammi from school now!
Lots of love, ME
Wow! Way to be brave Sammi!! I didn't know you guys went to Boise. It seems like you should have told us and we could have met you there and hung out. Oh well, you probably were busy house hunting, but it would be nice to meet this little pirate of yours. ;) The pictures are so cute. Thanks for posting them. I always feel like my blog is so one-sided. I post and everyone reads, but I hardly ever hear about how they are doing. I can at least see you and know how your cute little family is. Thanks!! Oh and give that big owie a kiss from Sammi's favorite Aunt . . . Kary. Ha. It was me at one time, but that was just cause I had candy. :) Love you~
ReplyDeleteWe almost made the drive down to Utah on our trip - we considered it. Then we decided we had better hurry and get home. We spent most of the time in the car and the kids were getting burnt out of riding for so long. We should (probably) be moving down to Boise in about 2 months or so, and then our trips to Utah will be more often I am sure.It is only about a 6 hour drive. We are excited to go, though sad to leave here. No luck on the house finding. So, apartments it will be until we make other plans. It is so hard to determine where to live in a city in just a few days!!
