Here are some pictures of the family taken today before Beppy left for Alaska. I sure do love my little family and I am excited for it to grow. For now I am growing and I am starting to feel more pregnant each day. My side pain from the coughing is finally going away -what a pain! I could not lay on either side - just on my back. It was on my left side, which is the side I am suppose to be sleeping on. Shesh, it really hurt and it really made me feel pregnant as I had to carefully lift myself out of bed instead of popping out of bed. I do feel so much better and I am glad. I am looking forward to returning to my normal routine of running etc. I tried it the other day and it felt so weird. It is certainly different running with something packed inside my gut. I can feel things shifting lower and all of the joyful feelings of growth. Oh, how I love it! Actually, I do wish the whole pregnant thing could be skipped and that the stork would leave a baby on my doorstep instead! I do love the end result though -so worth all the pains.

I watched Les Mes yesterday, the musical DVD. I love that story. It is one of my favorites. I love the concept of a broken man being able to change and make of himself a great man. I believe people can change, that repentance is real, and that we can all be forgiven for the things which we feel true sorrow for. I am grateful for that. I would not have such an amazing husband if this were not the case. I have so enjoyed watching him grow along side me over the years. To see in him such strength. He has taught me so much, especially about the gospel and loving people. I love that we can change and become who we were meant to be -who we were each born to be. I have to change myself often, I am so glad I can!!

I believe you can make of your life whatever you want it to be, if you are determined enough. I believe you can make your "dreams" come true. Sitting around and waiting for your dreams will find you left with your head in the clouds. You must pursue them with all that you are and you will have them, you will make them come true. Never give up your dreams, your hopes for your life. Anything is possible -when God is on your side. Things do "all work out" but I have always believed, ok, I KNOW - we have to make them work out! We have to do our part and then God will make up where we are lacking.

Good luck to Ma and Pa who are heading off to the MTC and Samoa. We will all be praying for your success and your safety. We love you!

Lots of Love to all!

  1. I love the pictures. We have been hanging out with Bob and Amy, John and Mindy and all the kids. We had a wonderful evening, a great dinner and then a family home evening type thing with John Bob and Kevin singing a bunch of songs, Katie singing When Love Leads the Way, (remember "un-afwaid) and various other songs. John and Bob talked about their missions and then gave us "son's" blessings. It was a wonderful spiritual experience. Only wish we could have all been together. When we get home, right everybody?
We love everyone so much and we are very excited to get going. FINALLY!!! We'll let everyone know what is going on as soon as we know, especially how to keep in touch.
    Love to all, Mom

  2. Hi again,
Mari, please e-mail the address for the site that has coloring book style work sheets, math, reading, letters, etc. Haven't been able to find any good ones around.

  3. Mari,
You look hot! or should I say, "hot mama!" way to go girl. I'm so glad you are keeping your body in shape during pregnancy. It can be done! I appreciated all your advice in your blog; especially about pursuing our dreams. Ray got me this really cool wood sign for Christmas to hang in the house that says: "We create our tomorrows by what we dream today." I love that! Yes, we choose/create what we make of each day! Dream big (yes, I'd sing the song for you all, but it's late). I am actually up past midnight waiting for Beppy to call...it's all about love. Stephen is sleeping peacefully now for 8-10 hrs a night....ahhh, heavenly peace is real. He sure is growing and yesterday he turned into an owl and said" whoo, whoo, whoo" about 8 times in a row...it was adorable.
    Ma & Pa,
Well done thou good and faithful servants. We are thrilled you have chosen to serve the Lord on a mission. We are all thinking of you and hoping you have one of the best growing experiences of you life. Be happy with the 'happy people.' You are loved. Don't forget to do your yoga Mom. I'll be checking in on your fitness focus often. Be strong, you have lots of grandchildren counting on you ( no pressure! ) : ) This goes for Dad too. We need you to stay young, to live long and prosper.
    Keep smiling!
    John,
I was listening to your french mission music today and I loved hearing your spirit filled voice. I hope you are continuing to use your gift and share the music within you. It made me happy thinking of my little brother.

hugs to all! It's off to the airport.
