"We salute you, sisters, for the joy that is yours as you rejoice in a baby's first smile and as you listen with eager ear to a child's first day at school which bespeaks a special selflessness. Women, more quickly than others, will understand the possible dangers when the word self is militantly placed before other words like fulfillment. You rock a sobbing child without wondering if today's world is passing you by, because you know you hold tomorrow tightly in your arms. "

Just a few beautiful "tomorrows". . . (Sorry, I only have family pictures!)

Thanks for the powerful pictures. What a great visual reminder of what we are holding in are arms. I still rock Stephen to sleep every night after two stories and two songs. He is 3 yrs old, but after waiting so long for him to come to our family, why would I give up that time together? He treasures it and always asks.."one more song Mommy?" Usually, I give in and sing one more song...Don't let your songs go unsung.
ReplyDeleteLove and embrace your little one's!
I love you Mari!!
hugs,
Kary

ReplyDeleteSeems like in all of our family pictures we are all clinging to each other. I love it! The message is pretty clear.
