A few years ago, I heard on the news that you should load up on lots of calcium-rich food and drink -- before Aunt Flow comes to visit. Before getting pregnant with William, I tried it out many times -- it REALLY HELPED!! I think yogurt, ice-cream, and milk really do the trick -- I would recommend all of them. However, my personal choice and selection for the most effective PMS medicine is . . . chocolate milk! Yum! The combination of the chocolate (caffeine effect -- as found in all good cramp-relief medicine) and milk (CALCIUM) really does the trick!! I am not a doctor, I am a woman who has experienced knock-your-socks-off cramps, and I wanted natural relief (I HATE medicine.) Also, exercise (loads of it) makes a HUGE difference (even when you feel like you would rather curl up in the fetal position, rocking back and forth.) Exercise, in combination with a lovely glass of chocolate milk, can truly help with ALL of the effects of "El Nino." :-) I will now go and start chugging away . . . for the first time since before William was born!! :-)
