If you want to view paradise. . .
On Friday night we got the Willy Wonka movie - the old one from when I was a kid. The kids have seen the Johnny Depp version, and they love it. We thought they would enjoy seeing the new "old" one. We were right! They LOVED it and wanted to watch it over and over again. So, Saturday morning we thought we would do something special and take them to a special candy store, that we have never been to. We went to the store and right as you walk in - it is magic! It was so funny because they had a big screen TV playing the old Willy Wonka movie - as if we had planned it! It was perfect! The kids were in kid-heaven. We let them pick out one special candy and they both picked huge lolli-pops. I should have taken a picture! Next time . . . I am sure we will go there again!

ReplyDeleteYour little fam is just beautiful. Doug and I love to sit and look at Williams contagious smile!
What is the name of this fabulous candy store?? I will have to find it next time I got to Boise! Sounds like fun!!
ReplyDeleteLots of love!!
Barb,
ReplyDeleteGlad to have found you! I was wondering what you guys were up to. It seems like so many members of 6th ward in Alaska have moved away. It is always nice to hear about what is going on. I think about that ward often - it was a sweet time. I am glad you have started your own blog, it really is a great way to keep up with people.
Cheryl,
It was called Powell's Sweet Shop. It was not a huge store - but it was so fun. I stood there with so many choices, I could hardly decide! I think we stayed there for over half and hour (a long time just to pick out a candy) it was so great!
Becky,

The bumper boats at Riverfront Park were so fun - except Daniel never wanted to get out of them! I remember it being so hot then!
The picture of them holding hands is one of my favorite. They have done that since they were very small, we have a couple of pictures of them holding hands over the cooler. ;-)
I forget to get the piano in the picture, I had to position it carefully to keep it from falling. It is a fun keyboard though, with lots of different sound options, etc. I really enjoy it - so do the kids. I always meant to ask you to play for me, but I always feel bad asking others for things like that ... I am trying to get over that!!
It is funny, we seem to always be up with plenty of time to get ready for school, but at the end there is always a rush! It is just the nature of timeliness - I suppose.
It is so funny when they lose their teeth! I love how it makes them talk funny. I am sure Julia is a cutie!
Someday we will have to meet at Disneyland!!! ;-)
Lots of love to all!
Mari
