Trunk or Treat

It was a great night last night. Trunk or Treat was at six and it was still light outside - so great! It was about 60 degrees too! I was so amazed. Last year in Spokane I think it was about 15 degrees and we all froze and got sick. I was in paradise in the warmth here.

The kids loved going around and gathering candy (of course). Two of Daniel's friends were also Pirates (as you see in the picture). Daniel was loving Captain Hook. It was pretty funny to see midget-sized Captain Hook and Captain Jack Sparrow walking together. I was cracking up. The funny thing is Daniel has never seen Pirates of the Caribbean, but he knows who Jack Sparrow is, and of course - Will Turner. It was also funny because the first thing the two Captains did was compare the size of their swords (I guess it is a boy thing). ;-) Daniel was a big hit though, random people were taking pictures of him. Seeing the two Captains together made me wonder who would win in a fight? Captain Hook or Captain Jack Sparrow? They are both psycho and silly, but I think I would put my money on Jack - he is just too smooth, too cool, and savvy. What a great character!

Sammi had to be a fairy princess. For her costume we just pieced together things we already had and she was happy and good to go. Daniel's costume was also part of his Peter Pan costume turned inside out from last year - it worked great. William was a simple pirate, we were not ready to invest in a baby Will Turner costume - maybe someday. :-)

So the night was fun, we now have tons and tons of candy, even some left over from our own bowl! We will probably snarf on it for awhile then have Charles take it to work for the candy bowl there.
