29 weeks

Here is a picture of about 29 weeks of growth. I had to take my own picture so forgive the quality. Anyhow, I am feeling it. He is growing - that is good! So far I have gained about 18 lbs. Last two times I gained about 45 total, so this is much, much better. Living in the Hoyt building in AK did nothing for my ability to exercise. The neighborhood was just too scary to run/walk in alone. Here I feel so free to wander all around. I love it. I never expected to get more healthy in my third pregnancy. I plan to go on and on, and hopefully one day I will be good and very healthy/strong. Those are always my goals -never weight or sizes. I know plenty of skinny people who eat coke and potato chips all day long and have horrible health. Exercise, I really feel would solve so many of our ailments. I see so many advertisments for drugs to relieve pains when I think a bit of exercise each day could cure them -without the negative side effects like, liver problems and exploding internal organs. : ) Exercise even makes you feel happy! Hooray!

I do hope to run in "runs" again. I am unsure about a marathon, I am just not sure I want to subject myself to that kind of pain. However, I have done half a marathon pushing a stroller. Maybe without pushing I could go much, much longer. Hmmmm...maybe someday in the future. We shall see what kind of guts I get in time. I suppose for now I should focus more on getting this baby out first. : ) I am so grateful though, I do feel pretty good. I do not waddle, or feel any weird pains. My hands are not numb, I sleep great, my fingers are not too fat for my wedding ring, I am not bloated in my face, I just feel all around good this time - I am grateful. My efforts are paying off, how nice that is! Lots of hard, hard work for some lovely relief of icky symptoms.

Well, happy Saturday to all. Here it is another cloudy/foggy day. I have not seen a real sunny day for over 2 weeks! I am starting to wonder if there is a sun and blue sky?! Oh well, it is coming, I just know it! Lots of love to all!

Peace, Mari

  1. Mari-

I am glad to hear that you are doing good with weight gain and exercise. That is great. I got some real exercise yesterday for the first time in a long time. I played basketball for Amy's women's church team. I still have my skills, just not my stamina. With time.

Love you- Hope Sammi is feeling better.

  2. Good for you! Don't ever let anyone tell you that having a baby makes your body weaker. With time you can be better than ever. Your stamina will come back to you. I think so many people just give up and give in. Good luck with finding your strength again, if you can do it while you are young, you will be so grateful when you are old!! : ) I think having children gives you that much more reason to be strong and work hard. You can harness all sorts of drive on their behalf - it is amazing!!

By the way Ben is so cute - love the smiles. I still have not found any pictures of Johnny as a baby to send. I will keep looking. : )

Sammi is doing better, now Daniel is the sicko. :( I am sure that we will all be better soon. Hopefully!!

    Lots of Love, Me

  3. You look great. We are in Apia this weekend. We will be sending a long e mail tomorrow if all goes well with the internet. We had an awesome day. I went swimming in the ocean and snorkeling. Can you believe it? Still some life in your old mom yet.

    Keep the pictures coming
    Love you all, Mom

  4. yo hot mama...yes, I'm referring to both Mari @ 29 weeks and Mom snorkeling. Very inspiring! I'll write more later. I'm going to bed early since Stephen sleeps 8-10 hours a night and that's what I need tonight. Is Ben sleeping through the night yet Mindy? I thought the day would never come, but at 6 weeks, he went 6 hours and it has increased and maintained ever since.
Happy Sabbath to all tomorrow. I love Sundays and SUNdays. don't worry Mari, President HInckely says we need to see the sunlight in the clouds. It is there. On my walk today, the sun broke out and said peek a boo.
Sage's shoulder is much improved. She is growing stronger, she really likes her antiinflammatory drugs. who would have thought that I would smear a dog pill in peanut butter and then put it in her mouth? Nothing is impossible!
    Press on!
