Here are some pictures of our day in the snow. It is the most snow we have seen here! Charles woke up this morning and was determined to go sledding - so we did. You know, I just adore sledding. Well, ok, not so much. But I knew the kids would really love it and we found a great and very safe hill. The last time I was on a sled I spent 4 months on crutches and had major surgery, I am still unsure about getting back on the horse. Today there was no way to test my fear though - not pregnant. My doctor would not have been happy with me! The experience was very different from the sledding I remember in Alaska though. It was nice and fluffy snow on a lovely hill. I remember at my elementary school there was always blood covering our sledding hill because it was usually pure ice and big bumps. Yuck and Ouch!Anyhow, the kids LOVED it and so did Charles and it was a good show for me. To stay warm I would walk up and down the hill - it worked pretty good. It was a great workout for the kids too. By the time we were through eveyone had to go potty and we were all frozen, but it was lots of fun. It was a fun filled day today, but I am hoping the snow will not last too long. I am ready for Spring and flowers and the color green - my favorite!

Looks like you had a fun day. I went out in the snow to walk/run. I actually did some sprints today. There is a stretch of road that is around the corner from our house that is pretty bare. A parking lot on one side and the back of some houses on the other. I did five sprints along the (130 steps for me) road. Fun times. I thought of you. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you Mindy! Keep it up and you will feel great! I am discovering that every little bit really does help. This winter stuff sure makes it more tricky - especially with snow. I look forward to dry pavement! Bring on Spring!
